What can we do with 1 cent?

In today's world, there's not much you can do with 1 cent.

But I believe in the power of this small coin.


In fact, at Cointree, these small coins come together

to provide educational support and emergency relief

in Bolivia, Sri Lanka, Mexico, and other places.


Recently, we built a medical clinic in Mexico

to provide medical care to those who couldn't afford treatment

due to poverty.

My slogan was 

"Give me 1 cent."

I wanted to show that even a small amount,

not a large sum, could change the world.

So I started collecting 1 cent a day,

and with the help of many people, 

I, with those people, achieved significant changes.

Of course, 

it wasn't easy from the start.

Initially, I distributed 3,000 business cards
in a month to recruit donors,

and in the first month, I gathered 17 donors.


Ten of them were family members
and seven were strangers.


But by never giving up and continuing to try,

now about 10,000 people donate 1 cent every month. 

I am a Ball Thrower

I describe myself as someone who throws and catches balls. 

You need to throw the ball first to catch it. 


I hope many young people 

become people who throw 

instead of keeping their dreams inside their hearts. 


And I hope they become people who will catch those dreams. 

To be an example so many people can join in saving lives and solving global inequalities, 


I too will throw this dream and 

work hard to catch it. 

I will show you that we

can truly change the world this way.
